Overview
San Felipe and Río Lagartos are two fishing villages located between the boundaries of the Ría Lagartos Biosphere Reserve and the Yum Balam Flora and Fauna Protection Area, one of the main nesting areas for the American flamingo in Yucatán.
Arriving at the colorful port of San Felipe you will enjoy a seafood dish at the best restaurant on the east coast of Yucatan and then enjoy a boat ride through the reserve to reach a path immersed in the mangrove to admire the biodiversity of the ecosystem; then you will visit the archaeological remains of Isla Cerritos, which today serves as a home for the birds of the region. At the end of the trip, you will travel to Río Lagartos, where you will embark on a nocturnal crocodile watching tour.
In the night tour you will navigate the estuary in search of crocodiles, you will live a very different experience from the day tour, with other colors, sounds and landscapes under the stars, with luck, you may see some crocodiles present in the nature reserve.

-Bathing suit and towel.
