Community tour

Enjoy the tranquility of the community and explore it with a local guide, you can observe some of the economic activities carried out in the village, such as the production of charcoal and wooden furniture, the manufacture of handicrafts carved in wood and hammocks, as well as the cultivation of vegetables and medicinal plants in a small local plot.

Adventure trail tours

Ride a 9-kilometer adventure trail by bicycle, where you will visit an apiary and, together with a local guide, you will learn about the natural resources, flora and fauna found in the region.

Forest management tour

Take a specialized tour to learn about the sustainable forestry management technique practiced by the ejido, as well as the different types of trees in the region, their planting and care.

Lodging in camping area

The cooperative offers lodging in its camping area with tent and inflatable mattress included. The area has restrooms and showers. Check out 24 hours after check in.

Food Service

Enjoy delicious Yucatecan dishes and antojitos made with local crops and a special seasoning in the cooperative’s restaurant or in a local house.

A walk through community life

In San Agustín, you will have the opportunity to learn about the economic activities of the local population.

The local cooperative offers a community tour that takes you through the sustainable production of charcoal and wooden furniture, the embroidery of typical garments and the cultivation of vegetables and medicinal plants in an agroforestry plot.

The visit ends with a trip to the archaeological remains located on the outskirts of the community.

Adventures in the jungle

For adventure lovers, the cooperative offers bicycle tours on a 9 km trail through the jungle. Here you can admire the lush vegetation of the area, visit the local apiaries and finally reach the Aktun Chen Ku cave.

In addition, the cooperative offers delicious Yucatecan dishes made from locally grown crops. And if you are looking for a place to spend the night, they have an area for camping under the stars.

Upon noticing the interest of academics, researchers and government authorities in visiting the site, the Aktun Chen Ku cooperative decided to start a tourism venture.
