Our visit to Tekit with Co’ox Mayab was fabulous! Our guide Jan and everyone we interacted with in town were very enthusiastic and knowledgeable about local history, culture and the environment. Everything ran very smoothly day of and in setting up the tour; Gloria in the main office was extremely responsive as we were making arrangements. We loved every part of the day and found it to be the perfect combination of activities!! The farm was absolutely beautiful, and our visit to the solar Maya at Ana’s house was fascinating — the beekeeping and honey tasting was a real highlight for us, and Ana, Manuel and Luis’ passion was infectious! The guayabera workshop was also very interesting and gave us new appreciation for this tradition. Our visit to Mayapan was short but beautiful during sunset and to top it all off, we saw an incredibly colorful motmot bird. All in all one of the best day tours I’ve ever taken – highly recommended!
